Great Long Lunchers given chance to name new cheese 5 March 2006
Get those creative juices flowing - Hawke’s Bay’s artisan cheese factory is giving guests the chance to stamp their mark on something unique.
The Te Mata Cheese Company is the official supplier of cheese to this year’s Great Long Lunch, on Sunday March 5 on Napier’s Marine Parade.
The company has created a new cheese especially for this year’s event, and lunch guests will not only be the first to sample it, but can also be the ones to name it.
The fresh goat cheese rubbed in vine ash is the latest cheese off the block at the Te Mata Cheese Company, situated at the foothills of Te Mata Peak.
Other Te Mata Cheese products, which have all been named after iconic Hawke’s Bay landmarks or places, include Kidnappers Brie, Bay View Blue and Flat Rock Feta.
The winner will not only name the new cheese but will also receive a gift hamper from Te Mata Cheese. |
